THE Region 1 Medical Center (R1MC) Press Corps was recently organized and its officers were inducted into office on Tuesday, Feb. 12 at the center’s FQD Conference Hall in  Dagupan City.

Officer are: Orly Navarro (DWIZ Dagupan), president; Ike Palinar (Aksyon Radyo), vice president; Liway Yparraguirre (People’s Journal/DWIZ Dagupan), secretary; Eva Visperas (Philippine Star), treasurer; Susan Yadao (DWIZ Dagupan), auditor; and Ray Zambrano (Philippine Daily Inquirer/Sunday Punch) press relations officer. 

The members of the board of Directors are: Badz Agtalao (Bombo Radyo); Joel Balolong (K17 Kabaleyan Channel/Aksyon Radyo); Kim Bandarlipe (GMA 7); Ruel Camba (DWIZ Dagupan); Dante Cera (Aksyon Radyo); Nora Dominguez (Net 25); Freddie Fajardo (K17 Kabaleyan Channel/DZRH); Liezle Basa-Inigo (Manila Bulletin); Rex Marion Laguerta (R1MC Information Office); Mortz Ortigoza (Northern Watch); Krystle Mae Reamon (R1MC Information Office); Yolanda Sotelo (Philippine Daily Inquirer); Joanna Tacason (ABS-CBN); Raul “Insiong” Tamayo (DWIZ Dagupan); and Tito Tamayo (DWIZ Dagupan). 

Graphic artists are Junryl Cabanero and Alexander Ocampo. Adviser is Ramon Bautista. 

Dr. Joseph Roland Mejia, medical center chief, sworn in the newly-installed officers of the media organization. 

Mejia said the R1MC Press Corps was organized to support the hospital in disseminating information about the programs of the Department of Health (DOH) to the public. (PIA Pangasinan)
