2 P’sinan school paper advisers, 1 campus Journalist cited
NATIONAL SCHOOL PRESS CONFERENCE
LINGAYEN— Two school paper advisers and one campus journalist from Pangasinan selected among the top 5 in the search for Outstanding School Paper Advisers and Campus Journalists during the National Schools Press Conference held at the Sison, Auditorium on January 31, 2019.
The two advisers, Racell P. Padilla from Bautista town was 4th in the elementary level and Eliza G. Abelon, from the Division of Alaminos City, emerged 3rd in the secondary level. Meanwhile, Francine Beatriz Pradez, a student from Dagupan City National High School, took the 3rd spot.
Jocelyn DR. Andaya, Director IV of Bureau of Curriculum Development, congratulated the awardees and thanked the National School Paper Advisers Association (NSPA) for conducting the event.
“Let journalism be one of the several platforms to use to advocate for issues close to your heart such as fighting fake news, standing for truth, even the preservation of our cultural heritage, our nature’s wonders and others,”. Andaya said. (Ericson O. Velasco, PSU-Urdaneta)
