4 teams remain undefeated

LINGAYEN– Basketball teams of Lingayen, Manaoag, Sto. Tomas and Urdaneta City remained undefeated in the 3rd Governor’s Cup Inter-Town/City Basketball Tournament in the elimination games as of January 13.

Defending champion Lingayen’s sustained its unblemished record (4-0) since their first match against their nemesis toppled Labrador in an exciting match, 119-109, on January 12.

Lingayen hauled another win after they waylaid team Sual in a lopsided game, 117-98, on January 13.

Last season’s first runner-up Team Manaoag pocketed five straight wins (5-0) since the start of the third season. It notched its victory against Mangaldan in a crucial match, 93-91, on January 12 and hauled another win via default against San Carlos City on January 13.

Teams of Sto. Tomas and Urdaneta City shared the same 3-0 (win-loss) standing in the eastern conference. Sto. Tomas edged Alcala in a close match, 101-98, on January 12 and recorded another victory on the following day against San Nicolas, 88-78.

Urdaneta City nailed two-straight wins against Tayug, 99-82, on January 12 and against Alcala, 110-72, on January 13.
