LINGAYEN – The UP Subol Society(UPSS) had extended the online pre-registration for the upcoming Padunungan 2019 until December 15 to further accommodate more schools.

However, walk-in registrants will still be accepted on the days of the even except for the Folk Dance Competition and Sabayang Pagbigkas that require online pre-registration.

Padunungan co-head Johanna Calimlim said the  pre-registration was necessary in order have a better estimate of the number of participants for the different contests that will be held and prepare better for the events.

The Padunungan 2019 will highlight the Pangasinan identity with the theme, “Anchor: Strengthening Pangasinan Identity in the midst of Fast Development”.

UPSS conducts the annual Padunungan to give back to Pangasinan through education, sports and recreation,environment, youth empowerment, and social service.

It aims to showcase the talents and wit of elementary, junior and senior high schools students in contests for poster making, essay writing, singing and quiz bee.

 “Culture is dynamic. It is different from each generation so we chose the theme to influence the Pangasinenses to strengthen their identity as Pangasinenses and build their will and passion to identify with our own culture despite the vast changes in our society through the years, ” co-head Moses Visperas added
