Dagupan SP OKs P1.4-B AIP for 2019

THE Dagupan Sangguniang Panlungsod (SP) approved the P1.480,448,000
Annual Investment Plan (AIP) of the city, including its supporting plans for Fiscal Year 2019 last week.

According to Councilor Jeslito Seen, chairman on finance, the AIP is essential to the formulation of objectives, targets, budget policies and strategies for the budget year (2019) and also a central component of a wider strategic framework that covers achieving both local and national objectives.

Seen said the AIP of Dagupan for CY 2019 effectively encompasses defined priority programs, projects and activities that comprehensively address the needs of the citizenry since it integrates programs, projects and activities for CY 2019 prepared by the city government through multi-sectoral consultations.

Members of the City Development Council (CDC) of Dagupan headed by Mayor Belen Fernandez formulated the AIP during a meeting on September 24, 2018.

Among the proposed projects funded under the 20% internal revenue allotment, Disaster Risk Reduction Plan, Local Development Plan for Children, Local Investment Plan for Children, Gender and Development Plan, Local Anti-Criminality Action Plan, Local Climate Change Plan, Plan for Persons with Disabilities, Senior Citizens Annual Work Plan,
Combat AIDS Plan, and Nutrition Action Plan.

With the passage of the AIP, the SP will tackle next the city’s 2019 annual budget of P1.01 billion, the biggest annual budget ever in the history of Dagupan. (Leonardo Micua)
