LINGAYEN — Except for a raid on a illegal gambling den in Urdaneta City, no other crime was registered  by the police on September 15, a day after Super Typhoon “Ompong” battered Pangasinan.

This was gleaned in the daily police incident report of the Pangasinan Police Provincial which showed that only a case of violation of Presidential Decree No. 1602 in Zone 3, Barangay Labit, Urdaneta City was recorded in the province.

When most parts of Pangasinan were still under water and reeling in darkness due to power outage, the Urdaneta City police still conducted an anti-illegal gambling operation at the Torralba residence on Zone 3 in Brgy. Labit Proper in Urdaneta City that resulted in the arrest of Trinidad Fontanilla, 75; Marieta Aquino, 28; Joana Cerezo, 31; jobless; Maydhel Andrada, 21, Juliana Andrada, 66, and Racquel
Lorenzo, 37.

Confiscated from them were one set playing cards and cash bets amounting to P128 in different denominations (Leonardo Micua).
