THE city’s Public Employment and Services Office (PESO) conducted a career coaching symposium for the grade 11 and 12 students of Salapingao National High School on August 7.

The career guidance forum program seeks to prepare graduating students on their career options and to guide them in choosing the courses or degrees they would pursue in college.

It also provided employment steps and tips for students who wish to seek employment right after graduation and assistance they can get from PESO Dagupan.

PESO Manager Jocelyn Siapno said senior high students need to be guided as “they are yet in a formative stage.”

Mayor Belen T. Fernandez, in her message, dwelt on her past experiences as a working student and the decisions that led to her career choices.

Fernandez also encouraged the youth to let their passions and aspirations dictate when choosing their future careers.

“Follow your heart. Listen to your family’s suggestions and evaluate which path would bring you fulfillment because your inspirations will help you in having a stable job,” said Fernandez. (CIO/VDV)
