Third most wanted in Malasiqui nabbed

MALASIQUI—The local police arrested the town’s third most wanted persons for several estafa and illegal recruitment cases on July 24.

P/Superintendent Franklin Ortiz, town police chief, said Loreta Bayotas, 49, widow, a resident of Barangay Olea this town, was nabbed by virtue of an alias warrant of arrest for estafa with criminal case numbers 2017-0578 and 2017-0579 with bail fixed at P40,000 each issued by the Regional Trial Court Branch 195, Parañaque City dated December 28, 2017.

Bayotas also has a warrant of arrest for estafa with a criminal case number 2017-0580-0581 with bail fixed at P16,000 issued by the Regional Trial Court, Branch 275, Parañaque City dated May 11, 2017.

Another warrant of arrest was issued against her for violation of Section 6 in relation to Section 7 of Republic Act 8042 for illegal recruitment with criminal case number 2017-0577 with no bail bond recommended.

She also has a bench warrant of arrest for estafa with criminal case number 7238-A with bail fixed at P80,000 issued by the Regional Trial Court, Branch 54, Alaminos City, Pangasinan dated September 4, 2017.

Ortiz said Bayotas was brought to Malasiqui Police Station for proper disposition and will soon be transferred to Parañaque City jail once the commitment orders from the courts of origin of her arrest warrants arrives. (Eva Visperas)
