LINGAYEN– The Pangasinan Provincial Hospital (PPH) will soon acquire a Php17.5 million worth high-end radiology apparatus and applications system to further enhance its healthcare services to Pangasinenses.

The Sanggunian Panlalawigan (SP) has authorized Governor Amado Espino III to sign a contract with the Patient Care Corporation (PCC) for the provision, installation, operation and maintenance of the said medical equipment.

Fourth District Board Member Jeremy Agerico Rosario, resolution author, said the state-of-art radiology equipment and application system is a much-needed equipment at the PPH being the largest provincial government-run healthcare facility located in Bolingit, San Carlos City.

“Acquisition of a state-of-the-art radiology equipment and application system is also encouraged by the Department of Health, to shun the use of the conventional plates,” said Rosario.

Under the Espino administration, upgrading of the equipment, facilities and services are continuously upgraded.

For having been acclaimed as the “Hospitals of Choice”, the PPH and 13 other provincial government–run hospitals, Rosario said, have become preferred venues for benchmarking activities by visiting delegations from various provinces, cities and municipalities in the country in terms of the health facilities and provision of public health and medical services to the people, especially the poor.  (PIO/MGNO)
