LINGAYEN– Forty-six residents of Infanta town received training on electrical work and carpenty when the 7th leg of the Mobile Skills Training Project (MSTP) came to town.

The MSTP, a major program of the Provincial Employment Services Office (PESO), trained 28 on electrical installation while 18 were trained on carpentry through a 22-day training in partnership with the Technical Vocational and Skills Development Authority- Pangasinan Field Office (TESDA – PFO) and the local government unit of Infanta.

PESO Manager Alex Ferrer, representing Gov. Amado Espino III at the graduation ceremony on July 17 at the Evacuation Center, said the provincial government‘s MSTP is proof that it is keen on promoting barangay-based programs and services.

Ferrer said each of the MSTP graduates received either P2,000 for processing of employment requirements or a livelihood starter kit.

Vice Mayor Virgilio Vallarta lauded the MSTP for directly assisting barangay residents to gain employment or start their own businesses.

It was learned that as part of their training, the trainees visited five schools in the town to repair classrooms.
