Fil-Indian philanthropist, adopted son of Pangasinan

LINGAYEN–The Sangguniang Panlalawigan (SP) has passed a resolution on July 9 citing business leader and philanthropist Rocky Rakesh Vasandani of Dagupan City as adopted son of the province of Pangasinan.

The resolution proposed by Sixth District Board Member Noel Bince was passed shortly after Vasandani, accompanied by his younger brother, Dr. Ashok Vasandani, and officers of the Rotary Club of Dagupan East and Inner Wheel Club of Dagupan East, donated 100 sets of nebulizers to the province for distribution  to health centers

Dr. Ashok Vasandani was already declared adopted son of Pangasinan in an earlier resolution of the SP also authored by Bince.

“Together with my younger brother, Dr. Ashok, we will continue to support your health program in the province, the gadget can  save our community people from asthma, cough, colds and other illness.”

The Vasandani brothers earlier made available 100 wheelchairs to the SP, allocating five to each board member, 10 to Vice Governor Jose Ferdinand Calimlim and 10 to Gov. Amado Espino III, all were already distributed to their respective constituents.

Rocky said he and his brother will donate 100 wheel chairs to Pangasinan every year. (Leonardo Micua)
