Brgy Pugaro opens new health center

A NEW health center formally opened in Barangay Pugaro, following its blessing and inauguration on July 10.
The ceremony was led by Mayor Belen T. Fernandez and Punong Barangay Nestor Victorio.
The new 6 x 6 meter health center is situated beside the barangay hall.
A doctor and midwife will be assigned to the center, along with the barangay nurses and health workers.
Medical equipment for basic health care such as a bed, blood pressure apparatus, oxygen tanks are also available at the new center.
Dr. Anne Paragas of the City Health Office, the designated doctor of the barangay, said a barangay clinic will be conducted during the 1st and 3rd Monday of every month while immunization will be conducted every 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month.
The new health center was one of the city’s infrastructure projects planned for the barangay. Soon an evacuation center and a covered court gymnasium for the Pugaro Integrated School will be constructed. (Verdelle De Vera/CIO)
