Dagupan offers new location for BFP fire station
THE Sangguniang Panlungsod (SP) has authorized Mayor Fernandez to enter into a contract of usufruct for 50 years with the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) for the use of a lot in Mayombo as its station.
Mayor Fernandez will sign the contract for the lot measuring 3,812 square meters with Dagupan City Fire Chief Inspector Georgian Pascua.
The BFP in Dagupan needs to build a new fire station for personnel and its firefighting equipment, fire engines, firemen’s personal protective equipment, fire hoses and other specialized equipment will be stored.
BFP Dagupan’s present fire station is located at the former Perez Market but the building is no longer big enough to shelter all the station’s fire engines and equipment. (Leonardo Micua)
