SM City Urdaneta Central opens

SM City Urdaneta Central, SM Prime Holding’s 69th mall in the country, opened its doors to serve shoppers in Pangasinan last Friday, May 4.  It is the second SM Supermall after SM City Rosales to open in the largest province in the Ilocos Region.

Located on a 38,808 square meter site in MacArthur Highway, the mall is expected to serve residents in Urdaneta, as well as the nearby towns of Binalonan, Villasis, Asingan, and Sta. Barbara.

With two levels and 42,745 square meters of gross floor area, SM City Urdaneta Central is described to bring “new life and revitalization to the area with its modern design, and exciting shopping, dining, and entertainment offerings”.

The SM Store and SM Supermarket are the mall’s major anchors along with SM mainstays like SM Appliance Center, Surplus, Our Home, Watsons, Miniso, Crocs, and The Body Shop. It also has fashion boutiques, shoe stores, sports stores, jewelry stores, bookstores, eyewear stores. A Cyberzone features the latest IT and electronic goods.

Eating out options include popular local and international fast food chains, coffee shops like Starbucks, bakeries like Breadtalk , and specialty restaurants like Bonchon and Cabalen.

SM City Urdaneta Central also has banks, wellness areas, and amusement centers to serve customers of all ages. For additional customer convenience, the mall has 706 parking slots.

SM City Urdaneta Central’s design team includes DSGN Associates, design architect; Casas + Architects, architect on record; SMEDD Corp., project manager; Prompt Managers, construction manager, and Don Lee Builders, general contractor.

Urdaneta is among the most progressive cities in Northern Luzon, and is among the region’s cleanest, greenest, and most livable cities.  It also houses the Sanctuary IT Building, the only Philippine Economic Zone Authority-proclaimed IT Building in Pangasinan, as well as numerous businesses and colleges and universities.
