One kapitan, 2 SK chair, 6 SK kagawad bets unopposed

IN DAGUPAN CITY

ONE candidate for barangay chairman and two for sangguniang kabataan chairman in Dagupan City are running unopposed in the Barangay and SK elections on May 14, according to the complete list of candidates released by the office of City Elections Officer Ericson Oganiza.

The unopposed candidate for barangay chairman is incumbent Kapitan Arsenio Santillan Sr. of Lomboy.

Unopposed for the SK chairman post are Dexter Gonzales of Bolosan and Orlando Mara Jr. of Mangin.

Meanwhile, in Barangay Mamalinglling, there are only six candidates for seven slots for the SK kagawad posts.  The six virtually elected are Jolina Abulencia, Jun Victorio Cayabyab, Romeo Cordero, Julie Ann Dimacali, Hefraqy Estrada and Roanne Resuello.

Also deemed elected are Prince Carvajal, Jokerie Flores, Glenn Jovellanos, Kae Ann Mae Quinto and Rayce Untalan, all candidates for SK Kagawad of Salisay.

On one-on-one contests for barangay chairman are incumbent Kapitan Eugenio Balolong Sr. and Jesus Casilang Jr. of Bacayao Norte, incumbent Kapitan Gregorio Taminaya and Januario Caballero of Tambac, incumbent Kapitan Herminigildo Rosal and Corazon Tagulinao of Barangay I, Ernesto Agbayani against incumbent Kapitan Roberto Melecio of Barangay II and III, Johnny Baniqued and Kapitan Raul Sayson of Barangay IV, Armando Claveria and incumbent Teresa Coquia of Caranglaan;

Geronimo Claveria and incumbent Kapitan Marcelino Fernandez of Lucao, incumbent Kapitan Filipina de los Santos and Marcial Rioflorido of Malued, incumbent Kapitan Julieta Perez and Lilia Yasar of Pantal, incumbent Kapitan Bryan Dean Kua and Eduardo Sabado of Pogo Chico, Alberto Cervantes and incumbent Kapitan Delfin de Guzman of Salapingao and Nelson Cuison and Joaquin Reyes of Tapuac.

Barangays with the biggest number of candidates for kapitan are Mayombo, 7; Bonuan Boquig, 6; and Bonuan Gueset and Bolosan, 5 each.
