Gov. Pogi extols PMA graduates who are from P’sinan

LINGAYEN, Pangasinan – “Itong araw na ito ay isang pagkilala sa mga taong nagbibigay ng serbisyo sa ating bansa at sa ating bayan.”

This was bared by Governor Amado I. Espino, III as he led the provincial government in welcoming the new lieutenants of the Philippine Military Academy (PMA) 2018 ‘Alab Tala’ class from Pangasinan during the regular flag-raising ceremony on March 26.

Eight out of the sixteen PMA 2018 graduate who are from Pangasinan paid a courtesy call on the provincial government official including: Lt. Daniel C. Fermin of San Carlos City (Phil. Air Force); Lt. Maria Francesca D. Galvez of Rosales (Phil. Army); Lt. Ian Lemuel A. Lalata of Mangaldan (Phil. Army); Mary Claire P. Mayo of Dagupan City (Phil. Army); Hero Nito V. Orial of Asingan (Phil. Army); Jonnel S. Parayno of Bugallon (Phil. Army); Roy Joshua P. Tenorio of Sta. Barbara (Phil. Navy) and Mon Jerico B. Velina of Lingayen (Phil. Air Force).

In his speech, Gov. Espino expressed his gratitude to these young professionals who entered military service with bravery and courage as he wished them all safety in winning the peace of the country.

He also commended three other Pangasinense PMA graduates for their unfaltering service for the common good including: former governor and now 5th district representative Cong. Amado T. Espino, Jr, member of the PMA Class 1972; and 2nd district representative Cong. Leopoldo N. Bataoil, and League of Municipalities of the Philippines (LMP) president Laoac municipal mayor Silverio D. Alarcio, Jr., both members of the PMA Class 1976.

Ending his message, Gov. Espino urged the provincial capitol employees to live a sacrificial journey during this sacred time of Lent and on the other hand, to spend some quality time with the family during the four-day vacation (March 29 – April 1).

Meanwhile, Lt. Velina vowed to be a source of inspiration to the youth as he carries out his responsibilities in his chosen field.

The Lingayen pride, who is now on two-week vacation in preparation for the Basic Air Force Officer course, plan to enter pilot training set on June this year.

“I joined the Phil. Air Force because I want to fly,” said Lt. Velina as he noted that aircraft base carries more hefty dominance in times of combat.

Other Pangasinense member of PMA class 2018 are the following: Mark Kenneth S. Martinez of Basista (Phil. Air Force); Nerie C. Lacasandile of Malasiqui (Phil. Air Force); Melvin F. Neri of San Carlos City (Phil. Army); Zaldy Mark F. Encina of Bayambang (Phil. Army); Remson R. Ferrer of Bayambang (Phil. Army) Deo Vhincent Ilumin of Calasiao (Phil. Army); Beverly L.
