Baby Arenas applauds Duterte on free education

THIRD District Rep. Rosemarie “Baby” J. Arenas last Wednesday commended President Rodrigo Roa Duterte for his ‘unprecedented leadership’ for extending free college education in public colleges and universities in the country.

Arenas was the guest of honor and speaker at the graduation rites of the Señor Tesoro College in Calasiao, Pangasinan.

`Tracing the success stories of most world leaders to their high education, the lady solon advised the young graduates to “stay focused on their studies to succeed as a gesture of gratitude to their parents and a gift themselves for a job well done.”

College president Editha T. Cardozo and vice president for operations Rodrigo C. Coquia, Jr. led the school officials Rowell G. Celino, Juvelle U. Ujano, Ms. Leslie Ann Alcain and Joselito Aranda in welcoming Arenas.

She was introduced by Dr. Catherine B. Velasco as an “exemplary woman leader, a devout Catholic and a very influential leader in the whole country.”

Arenas and her daughter former 3rd District Congresswoman Rachel Arenas were credited for the massive infrastructure development in the province.

In her speech, she stressed that acquiring higher education is a must if a young man or woman should achieve success in life, citing the rolls of many great leaders, men and women, for their high educational attainment.

Boncales, Ma. Jessibel C. Cacdac, Joy S. Espinoza, Jezel P. Meneses, Blesilda R. Prado, Andre B. Peralta, Angela A. Tabi, Darryl Joy B. Muerong, Carol Mae M. Ramos, Judy Anne D. Calaunan, Kellah Marie M. Fabito, Elisha Mae D. Cabangon, and Rhodalyn C. Bandong.
