45 Calasiao residents complete training

MOBILE SKILLS TRAINING 

LINGAYEN—Forty-five residents of Calasiao town have completed the Mobile Skills Training Program (MSTP), courtesy of the Provincial Employment Services Office (PESO).

Now on its fourth leg, the MSTP, a pet project of of Gov. Amado Espino III, brings skills training to remote barangays in the province.

Held in partnership with the Technical, Vocational and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) and the Liga ng mga Barangay, the MSTP aims to prepare skilled workers for actual work in various industries.

Calasiao Mayor Joseph Arman Bauzon led the awarding of certificates of completion to the 22 graduates of electrical installation and maintenance, and 23 graduates of basic carpentry. He thanked the provincial government for the opportunities provided the graduates.

After the 22-day skills training, the MSTP graduates will be evaluated by TESDA, and a subsequent guide for job placement will be provided by the Pangasinan PESO.

With 45 graduates, Bugallon town was the first beneficiary of the MSTP, followed by Sison (50) and Lingayen (11).

The provincial government plans to provide another skills training van for masonry and plumbing training this year. (PIO/MGNO)
