Two hurt inside burning training plane

BINALONAN—A pilot instructor and his student trainee were injured and rushed to the Sacred Heart Hospital in Urdaneta City when a CESSNA 152 plane they were about to fly caught fire while conducting flight preparation in a corn field in Barangay Limmansangan, Binalonan at 7:00 a.m. of March 13.

A report of the Pangasinan Police Provincial Office (PPPO) said the two-seater plane owned by a flying school in Binalonan town, about to be flown by Capt. Bruce Sinaking, flying master, of Baguio City, with student pilot Marcus Lim, a resident of Manila, on board caught fire.

Both the pilot and his student were injured but were conscious when they were rushed to the hospital. The aircraft incurred heavy damages.

The incident is now being investigated by the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) and the Aviation Security Group. (Leonardo Micua)
