Prov’l Gov’t cites P’sinan PESO, Dasol Community Hospital for ‘Service Excellence’

LINGAYEN, Pangasinan –The Pangasinan Provincial Employment Services Office (Pangasinan PESO), and the Dasol Community Hospital (DCH) have been cited by the provincial government for “Service Excellence” during the 7th Employees’ Awards and Recognition held recently.

                  Taking credit of their first-rate performance in service delivery, the Pangasinan PESO led by Manager Alex Ferrer and DCH led by Dr. Eugenie Guiang went home with Php30,000 cash incentive and a trophy each for topping the office and hospital categories, respectively.

Awarding certificates/trophies and cash prizes to the employees’ awards and recognition honorees during the awarding ceremony held at the Narciso Ramos Sports and Civic Center gymnasium on February 23 were: Vice Governor Jose Ferdinand Z. Calimlim, Jr, on behalf of Governor Amado I. Espino, III, along with Provincial Administrator Nimrod Camba, Sangguniang Panlalawigan Members Jeremy Agerico Rosario, Generoso Tulagan, Jr., Liberato Z. Villegas and Raul Sison, and Human Resource Management and Development Officer Janet Asis.

They were joined in by: Chief Human Resource Specialist Minda Cabanero, Civil Service Commission – Region 1 representative; Local Government Operations Officer V Nila Roxas, Department of the Interior and Local Government – Provincial Office representative; and Dr. Rosario Pamintuan, Department of Health Region 1 representative.

The employees awards and recognition of the provincial government supports the Program on Awards and Incentives for Service Excellence (PRAISE), which is designed to encourage creativity, innovativeness, efficiency, integrity and productivity in the public service by recognizing and rewarding officials and employees, individually or in groups, for their suggestions, inventions, superior accomplishments and other personal efforts which contribute to the efficiency, economy or other improvements in government operations, or for other extraordinary acts or services in the public interest.

Employees, and offices and hospitals of the provincial government were cited, as they also received cash incentives, and certificates/trophies.

Leadership Awardees: Health and Wellness Focal Person – Baby Torio of Pangasinan Provincial Library (office category) and Raul Abarra of Western Pangasinan District Hospital (hospital category); Public Assistance Desk Officer – Henry Cruz of Provincial Governor’s Office – Admin (office category) and Rosalia Mateo of Eastern Pangasinan District Hospital (hospital category); Good Housekeeping Focal Person – Bella De Quintos of Provincial Employment Services Office (office category), Nida Quilon of Dasol Community Hospital (hospital category), Team D (capitol group category); and Performance Management Team – Provincial Governor’s Office – Administrative Services Division.

Health and Wellness Awardees: Raphael Manaois of Provincial Governor’s Office – Admin and Josefa Rosario of Provincial Accounting Office.

People’s Choice Awardees: Jennifer Dela Cruz of Pangasinan Provincial Library (office category), Loni Rose Quiros of Bolinao Community Hospital (hospital employee), and Provincial Governor’s Office – Admin.

All offices of the provincial government, classified to categories A (40 employees and below), B (41-70 employees), and C (71 employees above); and hospitals, classified to categories A (community hospitals), B (district hospitals), and C (provincial hospital) were recognized and given with performance incentives ranging from Php15,000 to Php25,000.

Program Management Awardees: Provincial Agriculture Office (office category), and Lingayen District Hospital (hospital category).

Innovative Program Awardee: I Love Pangasinan – KalusuganKaravan of Provincial Health Office.

Best Performing Offices: Provincial Governor’s Office (category A), Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (category B), and Provincial Engineering Office (category C).Best Performing Hospital: Dasol Community Hospital (category A), and Mangatarem District Hospital (category B).

Best Performing Chiefs of Office: office category – Rhodyn Lochinvar Oro, Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office; Ma. Cynthia Encarnita Villa, Pangasinan Provincial Library; Hilaria Claveria, Provincial Budget Office; Alex Ferrer, Provincial Employment Services Office; and Benita Pizarro, Provincial Planning and Development Office; hospital category – Dr. Eugenie Guiang of Dasol Community Hospital.

Seventy three retirees (73) were conferred with longevity award.

The provincial government recognized 39 best performing employees (25 offices, and 14 hospitals), and 39 good housekeeping awardees (25 offices, and 14 hospitals). /Mark Gerry Naval Oblanca
