Two fishermen missing in West Philippine Sea

ALAMINOS CITY—Two of three fishermen who went to fish in the West Philippine Sea on January 31 on board two fishing boats have not returned home and are still missing, the Office of the Civil Defense (OCD) reported.

OCD Region 1 Director Melchito Castro told newsmen in Alaminos City on Feb. 11 that there were two fishing boats that left Agno on Feb. 11 and one did not return.

Those on board this boat were two persons, reportedly father and son, according to the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office of Agno.

OCD called the Philippine Navy and the Philippine Coast Guard to conduct a search and rescue operations for the missing fishermen. (Leonardo Micua)
