Isolated barangays in E. Pangasinan under close watch

THE Provincial Mobile Force Company (PMFC) or formerly known as Provincial Safety Company (PPSC) is now at focused in the isolated Barangays in Eastern Pangasinan.

P/Superintendent Virgilio Pascua, head of the PMFC based in Tayug, said his team, in collaboration with the 84th Infantry Batallion of the Philippine Army, is presently focusing its patrol activities in the isolated barangays of Umingan, San Nicolas, Natividad, Tayug and San Quintin where elements of the New People’s Army are prone to tag as recovery area.

The peace and order situation in the eastern towns, particularly along the boundaries of Pangasinan, Nueva Ecija and Nueva Viscaya, remain normal and no sighting of NPA activities has been reported.

Meanwhile, the PMFC is conducting a community outreach program in Barangay Calitlitan in Umingan town and Barangays Fianza and Malico in San Nicolas by distributing packets of rice and noodles, slippers, school supplies and feeding program with the support of the private and business sector.

Through this project, the PMFC is getting the support of the community to fight insurgency and help maintain peace and order. (Nora Dominguez)
