Still no potable water for Pozorrubio’s upland barangays

By January 15, 2018Inside News, News

THE local government of Pozorrubio is desperately looking for regular source of water for the residents of upland residents of Barangays Malukiat, Casenfernandoan, Nantangalan, Balacad and Maambal (or referred to as the Overseas Barangays)

Mayor Ernesto Go said POWAD supplies the drinking water of the residents in lowland area but the supply still cannot reach those in the uplands.

Meanwhile, the town government has set up a system that enables the residents of four barangays to buy potable water for less than P7 per drum, a rate much cheaper than the water supplied by POWAD.

Only the residents of Barangay Maambal continue to have no direct access to water.

Go said the search for regular supply of potable water remains a challenge for the residents in the upland barangays. (Nora Dominguez)
