San Fabian bikefest set on Jan. 14
FOR the fourth consecutive year, the annual celebration of San Fabian town fiesta, the municipal government, under the leadership and initiative of Mayor Constantine Agbayani, will stage anew the “Asipukpokan ed San Fabian Mayor Agbayani Challenge.”
Some 60 prominent cyclists in Pangasinan and neighboring provinces are expected to participate.
The bikefest with cash prizes, trophies and medals at stake, will start and finish in the town plaza, traversing the national highways of Damortis and Rosario, La Union twice, for an approximate 88 kilometers road race.
“We are doing this annually as our contribution to our Gov. Amado “Pogi” Espino, III sports development program of the province,” said Agbayani. “Aside from that, be it known that our town San Fabian, already produced some prominent cyclists, is usually the starting point of training for our riders on their way to northern Luzon especially Baguio City.” he added.
