Honoring Pangasinan WWII Heroes

Governor Amado I. Espino, III along with 2nd District Representative Leopoldo N. Bataoil, event guest of honor and speaker, and some Sangguniang Panlalawigan members led by Vice Governor Jose Ferdinand Z. Calimlim, flashes the Pangasinan No. 1 sign as they honor the World War II veterans during the 73rd Lingayen Gulf Landings and 11th Pangasinan Veterans’ Day.

 

The Provincial Government of Pangasinan, under the leadership of Governor Amado I. Espino III, led the celebration of the 73rd Lingayen Gulf Landings Anniversary and 11th Pangasinan Veterans’ Day which was held on January 9 at the Veterans’ Memorial Park in Lingayen.

Honored as Pangasinan heroes, 73 of the 275 living veterans attended the event which was highlighted by the wreath-laying ceremony.

The commemorative program had 2nd district Representative Leopoldo N. Bataoil, the House of Representatives’ Committee Chairperson on Veterans Affairs and Welfare, as the guest of honor and speaker.

The Philippine Army stages rounds of salutations at the Veterans Memorial Park to pay tribute to the World War II veterans and their families.

Event guest of  honor and speaker Congressman Leopoldo N. Bataoil, Governor Amado I. Espino, III and Vice Governor Jose Ferdinand Z. Calimlim, Jr. led other provincial and city municipal mayors to flash the staging of the 73rd Lingayen Gulf Landing Anniversary and 11th Pangasinan Veterans Day.
