DAGUPAN CITY – Inevitable progress and development of Balon Dagupan – this was how the United Architects of the Philippines (UAP) – Pangasinan, Dagupan City Chapter conceptualized the design of the Quinto’s Bridge (and soon Magsaysay Bridge) which was it lit on December 6, in partnership with the city government.

The architects led by UAP – Pangasinan, Dagupan City Chapter vice-president for Operations Architect Raymund Parayno along with the other architects, joined hands in designing the concept and personally supervised its installation at no cost to the city government.

“We are truly grateful to the UAP for their time and effort in designing and personally supervising the lighting of our Quinto’s Bridge. The design of our lighting depicts progress, more investments for our city as it presents more infrastructures,” said Mayor Belen T. Fernandez hoping that more non-government organizations will contribute to the success of the city as she thanked the sponsors of the lighting for making the design possible.

Fernandez believes that with the development of the three growth areas in the city under the city’s Comprehensive Land Use Plan (CLUP) and Zoning Ordinance, Dagupan will grow, and progress will soon come.

The mayor said the city is gearing forward for more infrastructures “and we will continue with a lot of things that will make history and create a new landscape for our city,” she said.

“The concept presented to us by the UAP will always remind us to look forward. Let’s all work together to bring our city to progress,” said Fernandez. (Joseph C. Bacani)
