SAN FABIAN–A construction worker died and his two companions were hospitalized when they were electrocuted while constructing a barangay hall in Cayanga, San Fabian at 8:00 a.m. on Nov. 7.

The fatality was identified as Christopher Tamayo, 41, who was declared dead on arrival at the Region 1 Medical Center (R1MC) in Dagupan City.

Also rushed to the same Hospital were Tito Tamayo, 41, and Jerry Umipig, 51, sustained injuries in their bodies. Both are still confined there for further treatment.

Initial police investigation revealed that the incident happened when the victims were lifting the scaffolding in order to transfer it to another place.

However, the scaffolding they were holding accidentally touched the live wire of a primary line connected to the national highway resulting in the electrocution of the three. (Leonardo Micua)
