Capitol stages 2nd POGI sportsfest for employees

LINGAYEN – Governor Amado I. Espino, III will lead the opening of the 2nd Pagalaw tan Olopan ed Gobyerno Itanduro (POGI) sportsfest for Capitol employees on November 16 at the Narciso Ramos Sports and Civic Center gymnasium.

A sports and fitness program of the provincial administration, the POGI sportsfest will see the participation of seven competing clustered teams namely: Financiers, Builders, Generals, Benchmark, Warriors, Legislators and Medics.

Sporting events will include: basketball, badminton, chess, table tennis, tug-of-war, volleyball, and unity fun run.

Last year, Benchmark team reigned supreme as it amassed 349.5 over-all points to secure the most-coveted top plum of the sportsfest’s maiden edition.

Benchmark edged archrival Warriors team that settled for  1st runner-up spot.

Second runner-up was Generals team. The third to sixth runners–up were Legislators, Builders , Medics, and Financiers.

The POGI sportsfest end on December 19. (PIO)
