NGCP distributes emergency kits to host communities

THE National Grid Corp. of the Philippines (NGCP) simultaneously distributed emergency kits to host communities in Ilocos Sur and Pangasinan traversed by its transmission facilities on Sept. 27-28.

Lilibeth Gaydowen, NGCP’s regional communications and public affairs officer, said the kits are the recipients’ benefit as partner communities.

NGCP personnel distribute emergency kits to residents of barangay Balingueo, Sta. Barbara and Barangay San Gonzalo, Labrador, the host communities traversed by its transmission facilities in selected barangays in Pangasinan.

The kit consists of food and non-food items such as rice, water, canned goods, energy drink, blanket, slippers, flash light, first aid kit and dignity kit.

NGCP helps them prepare for disasters and evacuation.

In Region 1, NGCP personnel distributed 1,000 kits to indigent beneficiaries in Barangay Balingueo, Sta. Barbara and Barangay San Gonzalo, Labrador in Pangasinan, and 222 kits to three barangays in Ilocos Sur. (Eva Visperas)
