MALASIQUI – The newly constructed two-storey police community precinct (PCP) funded by the local government unit, donations from residents and fundraising activities in Barangay Asin East here was inaugurated last October 2.

P/Superintendent Roland Lee Sacyat, chief of Malasiqui Police Station (MPS) said this is the second PCP in the town built through fundraising activities such as the Fun Shoot and Fun Run that generated P400,000 in cash donations.

“This is the fruit of everyone’s efforts with the cooperation of the LGU, Liga ng mga barangay and the people of Malasiqui”, said Sacyat.

He added the 135 sq.m. lot where the PCP is situated was donated by Juanito De Guzman.

The establishment of the PCP, which serves 14 barangays, was deemed necessary owing to its strategic location along the Malasiqui-Urdaneta road where incidents of robbery are often reported.

The construction of the PCP started last November 2016. (Hilda Austria)
