LTO set to issue license plastic cards, finally
LICENSED motor vehicle drivers in Pangasinan who had their licenses renewed but have not been issued their plastic cards will likely receive them starting this week.
The Land Transportation Office (LTO) Region 1 announced it is set to release the 100,000 plastic license cards to LTO offices in Pangasinan starting this Monday, October 16.
LTO Region 1 Director Teofilo Guadiz III said 50,000 license cards will be released to LTO Dagupan while 48,580 will be released to LTO Urdaneta Sub Office.
Guadiz said the overdue cards will only cover backlogs for drivers who applied for renewal last year.
The release of new license remains delayed due to some irregularities in the bidding process for the printing of the plastic license cards at the LTO Central Office
Due to the expected influx of claimants of license cards this week, Guadiz said two separate lanes have been set up for the claimants of license cards and for walk-in clients. (Nora Dominguez)
