Kalsada Aral Patrol for out-of-school kids

TO get closer to the community, the Dagupan City Police Station l(DCPS) launched its Kalsada Aral Patrol.

P/St. Inspector Theresa Meimban, chief of the DCPS’ Women’s and Children’s Desk, said Kalsada Aral Patrol aims to convince out-of-school children to love learning.

The patrol creates activities for learning, i.e., reading, counting and coloring, to entice the kids to experience the joys of learning, and inculcates in their mind the role of the police in communities.

The patrol also distributes free school supplies to include pencils, coloring pads, paper pads and crayons as token for participating in the activities.

Already visited by the Kalsada Aral Patrol in partnership with the Dagupan City Government were Barangays Pugaro, Pogo Chico, Malued and Poblacion Oeste.

Gusto po namin maramdaman ng mga bata na hindi nakakatakot ang mga pulis, dahil hindi po naiiwasan na ginagawa po kaming panakot minsan sa mga bata,” Meimban said. (Nora Dominguez)
