SOME 200 distributors and principal dealers of consumer goods and products are participating in the 11th edition of the Sari-Sari-Store Fair which kicked off on Thursday at CSI Stadia in Dagupan City till October 1.

Caroline Fernandez of CSI Group of Companies and Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) provincial Director Peter Mangabat officially opened the Sari-Sari Store Fair which has for its theme “Dekalidad na Producto at Tamang Presyo Gabay sa Pag-asenso“.

Mangabat lauded the yearly Sari-Sari-Store Fair that provides households and consumers opportunities to buy quality goods at cheaper prices.

The fair gives sari-sari storeowners opportunities to buy quality products in bulk at the least costs to be sold to their respective customers for better profits.

An important feature of the Sari-Sari Store Fair is the conduct of a seminar by successful entrepreneurs for sari-sari store owners and others on how to effectively manage their businesses and to do simple bookkeeping.

There are more than 200 mini-shops selling canned goods, toiletries, cooking oil, candies, pastries, biscuits, chocolate, coffee and many others at discounted prices.

The shops also offer freebies, from umbrella to hand fans, toys for the kids and free food tastes.

The Sari-Sari-Store Fair was founded by Dagupan City Mayor Belen Fernandez in 2006 when she was still in the private sector as president of their family-owned CSI Group of Companies. (Leonardo Micua)
