A CONTINUING land dispute is suspected to be behind the death of an OFW who was shot dead while inside an eatery in Barangay Minien West, Sta. Barbara, 45 noon of September 9.

P/Chief Inspector Rex Infante, Sta. Barbara police chief said, the investigators are looking into a land dispute issue as possible motive behind the killing of Evangeline Macasieb Laudon, 50 years old, an OFW from Australia and a native of Barangay Labit, Urdaneta City.

It was learned that Laudon was already the third in the family killed because of a land dispute.

Sta. Barbara PNP, in coordination with Urdaneta Police, had determined she sold a property in Urdaneta before the victim was killed.

Checkpoints were established and Oplan Sita was conducted immediately after the incident but failed to get the suspects.

Infante said, the shooting incident was caught by CCTV camera but the suspects wore bonnets to hide their identities. (Nora Dominguez)
