Drug suspect on watch list shot dead

BINMALEY–A self-confessed drug pusher who surrendered but remained on the watch list was shot dead at 6:30 a.m. of September 20 as he was in front of the barangay hall in Caloocan Sur.

The victim, Christopher Co, 42, was shot three times by hitmen riding in tandem on a motorcycle without a plate number.

Investigation showed Co was sitting on a chair in front of the barangay hall while waiting for his fellow drug personalities for drug testing when the motorcycle-riding gunmen stopped in front of him.

The back-rider drew a handgun and started shooting Co on the head and chest that caused his instantaneous death.

Three fired cartridge cases and two deformed slugs of Cal. 45 handgun were found by Scene of the Crime Operatives (SOCO) in the crime scene.

Motive of the slaying is still undetermined at presstime. (Leonardo Micua)
