P’sinan Chess Fest 2017 set to start chess clinics

LINGAYEN– The annual series of chess clinics of the Pangasinan Chess Festival (PCF) will start September 9-10 and 16-17. 2017.

Provincial Sports Development and Management Council (PSMDC)’s organization of the PCF is supported by the Pangasinan Chess League (PCL), and sanctioned by the National Chess Federation of the Philippines.

The 7th Governor Amado Espino Chess Clinic will be held at the Pangasinan Training and Development Center (opening and closing venue), and Magsaysay Elementary School (training venue).

Participants from Pangasinan are accorded ‘free-of-charge participation’ during the chess clinics which is the training component of PCF.

The chess clinics is as a prelude to PCF’ three big chess tournaments: 7th Pangasinan Age Group Chess Championship (October 7-8); 7th Pangasinan Chess Championship (November 11-12); 9th Gov. Amado Espino Open Chess Championship (December 9-10).
