PANGASINAN’S young and skillful cyclist Dominic Perez enplaned to Kazakhstan on August 12 to participate in the star-studded 2017 Kazakhstan Expo International Criterium on August 17.

Tour veteran Perez of Santo Tomas town will be joined by two Novo Ecijano’s prominent riders Rustom Lim and Marcelo Felipe to compete against the best in the world like this year’s Tour de France champion Chris Froome of England, Giro d’ Italia winner Norberto Quintana of Colombia and Italy’s marquee rider Fabio Aru, to name some.

The 2015 World Junior Championship veteran and national team member Perez, 22, will fly to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on August 19 to compete in the 2017 Southeast Asia Games in the massed-start, criterium and team-time-trial events scheduled on August 22-25. (Jesus Garcia, Jr.)
