Mejia batted for reshuffle of hospital directors
DESPITE intrigues hurled against him, the director of the Region 1 Medical Center (R1MC) in Dagupan City said he supports the move of the Department of Health to reshuffle hospital directors nationwide.
Dr. Roland Joseph Mejia told local newsmen that transfer of hospital directors under the Department of Health (DOH) is already happening.
But he said there is opposition to this move especially in Mindanao “because of organizational culture”.
Mejia, who said he too could be reassigned to another hospital, said if a medical director is reassigned to another area, it will take time for a new director to adjust to his new assignment which he described as a period for “retooling”. (Tita Roces)
