Hidden paradise in Balungao

THE Balungao’s hot and cold spring being promoted as the town’s Hilltop Adventure will soon be a primary tourism destination in the province.

To achieve this, Mayor Phillip Peralta said in an interview that the municipal government has a yearly allocation for the maintenance and development of the facility like the 620-meter and 1.2 kilometer zipline, AVR trail, five swimming pools with different sizes and two of which are hot pools, cabana, spa, and convention building situated in the six hectare-hilly area of San Andres in the foot of Mount Balungao.

The water that flows to the pools is coming from Mount Balungao.

The local government is also planning to develop more attractions like horseback and water sports activities.

Peralta said with the help of Sixth District Rep. Marlyn Agabas, the construction of a dam below the zipline for water sports activities will be started soon. (Nora Dominguez)
