THE Philippines was represented by two Filipinos in the recently concluded International Conference on Policies of Productivity Growth held in Colombo, Sri Lanka.
One of them was a Dagupeña. Marlyn Almonte-De Guzman, the Chief Budget and Management Specialist of the Systems and Productivity Improvement Bureau of the Department of Budget and Management (DBM).
She oversees the provision of secretariat services to the Government Quality Management Committee and a member of the DBM ISO 9001 Quality Management System Core Team having attended Asian Productivity Organization (APO) projects like e-learning Course on Service Sector Innovations; Self-learning e-Course on ISO 260000:2010 Guidelines on Social and International Workshop on Developing the APO Public–sector Leadership Framework.
She joined 53 policy makers, industry leaders and academicians from private and public sectors in the Asia-Pacific Region representing 15 countries.
