Boy, woman electrocuted separately, same day

LINGAYEN–A nine-year-old boy and a 40-year-old woman were electrocuted to death in two separate incidents in different towns last July 9.

The first victim was identified as C-Jay Pascua, a grade III pupil of Lunec, Malasiqui.

According to the victim’s mother, C-Jay picked up a live wire on the road leading to their relative’s house.

His body was discovered by one Michael Pascua at about 8:00 a.m. and was rushed to the Malasiqui District hospital where he was declared dead on arrival.

The second victim was Myrna Serquinia, 60, who was accidentally electrocuted at her home’s backyard in Barangay Bantay, Mangatarem at about 2:55 p.m. July 9.

She was found lying unconscious under a bamboo tree by her neighbors and was rushed to the Medical Clinic where she was declared dead on arrival. (Leonardo Micua)
