POST-PERSONA NON GRATA DECLARATION

PANGASINAN Police Director Ronald Lee has ordered the relief of P/Chief Inspector Raymund Nicolas as Balungao chief of police last Thursday July 20.

P/Chief Inspector Norman Florentino, information officer of the Pangasinan Police Provincial Office, however, did not confirm if the relief order is in connection with the declaration of Nicolas as persona non grata by the Sangguniang Bayan of Balungao.

P/Sr. Inspector Henry Cabigat from the PPPO’s Operation Branch is now the new OIC-chief of police in Balungao.

Nicolas has been reassigned to the Provincial Public Safety Company (PPSC) in Tayug.

Meanwhile, two more police chiefs were relieved of their duties.

P/Sr. Inspector Buenaventura Benavedez, chief of police of Basista was relieved of his post effective July 20 and was replaced by P/Sr. Inspector Henry Garcia.

Like Nicolas, Buenavedez was also reassigned to PPSC Tayug.

In Aguilar town, P/Sr. Inspector Arturo Melchor was relieved as police chief effective July 20 and P/Sr. Inspector Rowel Albano took over.

Florentino confirmed that Buenavedes and Melchor have completed their two years tour of duty.

Nicolas, however, was installed as chief of police in Balungao only last February this year. (Nora Dominguez)
