Suspected rapist of 2-year old girl killed
A SUSPECTED rapist was shot dead by two unidentified suspects on May 28 while cruising along the national road of Barangay Lanas in Mangaldan in his tricycle.
P/Superintendent Jeff Fanged, Mangaldan police chief, identified the victim as John Senin, 50 years old, married and resident of said place.
The victim was driving his tricycle heading west when he was shot several times by two unidentified riding in tandem suspects who fled immediately to unknown direction after the incident.
Senin was pronounced dead at the Mangaldan Community Hospital.
Fanged said a week ago before he was shot, a case of statutory rape was filed last May 23 against Senin at the regional trial court in Dagupan City.
“Two weeks ago, Senin was charged in court by relatives of a two-year-old girl who he allegedly raped,” Fanged said. “The girl was entrusted to his care and found her bleeding when she was fetched,”
The police are checking the background of other family members of the victim who might have planned a revenge on the victim, Fanged said. (Nora Dominguez)
