‘Kalayaan Day’ job fair hires 322
URDANETA CITY – Kalayaan Day Job and Business Fairs held in this city and in Dagupan City on June 12 hired 322 job applicants on the spot.
The successful job fairs organized by the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) in partnership with the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), registered some 1,800 job seekers held at the Nepo Mall in Dagupan City and at the CB Mall here.
Fresnaida Gundan, chief of DOLE-Eastern Pangasinan, expressed satisfaction over the results of the two fairs.
Gundan said based on the Labor Force Survey of the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA), as of April this year, at least 89.6 percent employment rate was recorded in Region 1.
She expressed hope that the employment rate in the region will increase before the year ends. (PIA-Pangasinan/ EMBS)
