“Kapatid Mentor Me” program soon in Pangasinan

THE Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) provincial office is set to launch the “Kapatid Mentor Me” project during a program and mentoring session to be held at Star Plaza Hotel on June 20.

Natalia Dalaten of the DTI, explained that the novel project is a “big brother-small brother” partnership to help micro entrepreneurs grow faster.

The 8 a.m.-4 p.m.  mentoring sessions every Friday that will end on September 1, will be attended by 25 micro entrepreneurs screened for the purpose.

The accredited mentors, who were chosen for their successful ventures. will come from Manila and the region.

Topics to be discussed include entrepreneurial mind setting, values formation, marketing, business model canvass, product development assessment product development and innovation, operations management, supply and value chain human resource and organizational management. entrepreneurial accounting, recording, bookkeeping. taxation, how to register with the Bureau of Internal Revenue and others.

The “Kapatid Mentor Me” is a project of the DTI provincial office in cooperation with the Philippine Center for Entrepreneurship and was conceived by DTI to improve the know-how of small entrepreneurs and give them a chance to grow and prosper. (Leonardo Micua)
