LINGAYEN – Gov. Amado Espino III paid tribute to the spirit of sportsmanship and camaraderie demonstrated by all the teams that participated in the 1st Governor’s Cup Inter-Town/City Basketball Tournament that made the tournament a success.

The governor led the awarding of prizes on April 29 at the Narciso Ramos Sports and Civic Center (NRSCC) gymnasium.

Elated over the success of his pet project, Espino said he hoped the tournament provided the cagers the opportunity to imbibe the value of sportsmanship and urged the players to share what they have learned from the tournament.

Meanwhile, Binmaley Mayor Simplicio Rosario commended the governor for launching the sports program which he said is a unifying activity for Pangasinense youth.

The next edition of the successful basketball tourney will be in November this year. (PIO/RRB)
