Bani administrator, 2 kapitan nabbed

ILLEGAL GUNS SEIZED

BANI—The municipal administrator and two barangay captains in this town were nabbed in simultaneous raids on May 24 by joint police elements for illegal possession of guns and ammunition.

According to a report from P/Sr. Superintendent Ronald Lee, Pangasinan police director, arrested were Tammerlane Olores, municipal administrator of Bani town and resident of Barangay Poblacion; Marcelo Tugas and Ronaldo Bayna, barangay captains respectively of Garrita and Colayo, all from this town.

The raid on Olores’ residence was made by virtue of a search warrant for violation of R.A.10591 that resulted in the confiscation of one M16 rifle, three short magazines and 108 bullets for M16, two cal.45 pistols with12 bullets and one box of bullets for cal.22.

Tugas’ residence was searched through a warrant also for violation of R.A.10591 and one cal..45 pistol while recovered from Bayna’s house was one cal.38 revolver with bullets in its chamber.

Meanwhile, the houses of Ariel Canaria, municipal driver and resident of Barangay Colayo, Tirso del Rosario and Arsenio Del Rosario Jr., both residents of Barangay Centro Toma, all from this town were also raided. They are at large.

Seized from Canaria was one cal. 45 pistol with 4 bullets.

Recovered from Tirso Del Rosario were one caliber. 45 pistol with four bullet and one magazine assembly, while seized in Arsenio Del Rosario Jr’s house was one caliber .45 pistol with four bullets and one empty magazine for said caliber. (Tita Roces)
