BOLINAO – The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) opened its 8th Negosyo Center in the coastal town of Bolinao to bring national government services closer to the people.

Regional Director Florante Leal, who graced the opening of the center located at the municipal hall, reiterated the government’s vision to provide Filipinos a better life by providing them alternatives to venture into businesses.

“Aside from the ease in doing business, Negosyo Centers aim to encourage would-be entrepreneurs to start their business and thereby create employment opportunities,” Leal said.

Provincial Director Peter Mangabat said the center in Bolinao will also cater to the towns in the First Congressional District.

It would also help decongest the long queue of clients in the main office in Dagupan.

“The center will streamline the process for business registration that would help entice investors and entrepreneurs to open business opportunities in the area,” Mangabat said.

The seven other Negosyo Centers in the province are located in the cities of Dagupan and Alaminos and in the municipalities of Lingayen, Rosales, Mangaldan, Bayambang and Tayug.

The establishment of Negosyo Centers is backed by DTI and the Pangasinan Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise Development (PMSMED) Council led by its president, Howard Chua Cham. (PIA-Pangasinan/ VHS)
