Winners of Aninaw Media Awards announced

THE University of Pangasinan-Association of Communication Students (UPACS) recently launched ANINAW (Pangasinan term for ‘reflection of light’), its local media awards program, the first in the province, by announcing its first set of awardees at the Lingayen Sports Training Center at Lingayen Capitol, Pangasinan on the 3rd day of March 2017 with this year’s theme “Reinforcing the Essence of Truth, Responsibility and Credibility in the Age of New Media.

The Sunday PUNCH and staff earned all major awards reserved for community newspapers.

Journalists of the Year, The PUNCH’s Leonardo Micua, Eva Visperas and editorial cartoonist Virgilio Biagtan are joined by the Aninaw Media Awards organizers.
