Principal killed by armed men riding in tandem

SAN CARLOS CITY — Armed men riding in tandem struck in San Carlos City in broad daylight killing a school principal along the highway in Sitio Silapan, Barangay Bolingit, San Carlos City.

Maximo Jimenez, 64, principal of the San Vicente Elementary School in Bayambang and resident of Bongato East in Bayambang was riding his motorcycle on his way to Lingayen to submit reports to the Department of Education division office when ambushed.

Jimenez sustained gunshot wounds in the back and upper arms.

Responding policemen rushed him to the adjacent Pangasinan Provincial Hospital in Bolingit, San Carlos City where he was declared dead on arrival.

Three shells of Cal. 45 pistol bullets were recovered from the crime scene.  No motive has been established behind the killing. (Leonardo Micua)
